Inspired by the Italian word “Veloce,” Santanu created a unique and memorable name: VELKOO. Logo design emphasized minimalism and motion, with a Matte Black + White palette.

After approaching manufacturers in Delhi and Agra, Santanu overcame initial rejections to produce the first prototype — Skytrail S3, blending street style with performance.
The Struggle and Rise: Chennai to the World of VELKOO
In September 2023, Santanu moved to Chennai for Footwear Designing and Management studies. Here he gained expertise in product construction, sole design, material science, and consumer psychology.
Challenges in Chennai
Balancing studies with brand development was tough, but Santanu persevered with late-night sketches and lab work. His mid-term project showcased VELKOO as a real brand, earning recognition from] professors and peers.
The Launch Era: From Flipkart to India’s Streets
In 2025, VELKOO went live on Flipkart, marking a significant milestone.

Hours of sleepless nights, packaging trials, and quality checks culminated in a white box with a matte black logo, ensuring premium appeal.
Branding and Photoshoots
Guwahati and Delhi photoshoots highlighted street, gym, and jungle themes. The tagline “Walk Your Vision” became a core part of VELKOO’s brand identity, receiving international praise online.
